I have used Kent specialist groundwork’s and construction on a few occasions. They always turn up on time very professional. They know exactly what needs to be done and carry the work out in good time and to a high standard. I’ve used other builders on many occasions that don’t turn up and are always looking for extra costs. Not the case with this company I would highly recommend as they have made me at peace when I needed something done quickly and professionally.

This team is exactly how I thought it would be based on the reviews. The workmanship is absolutely top notch. I needed a load bearing wall removed to create a larger opening between living room and dining room, new kitchen redesigned from demolition to install, including creating a new downstairs WC. Knocking out a tv wall in living room and electrical rewiring. This was all done to a very high level, took around 1 month and I can tell that I will not have issues down the line. Thank you to Alex and the WHOLE team - I am very grateful as it isn't easy finding a random builder service you can actually trust from google, but, I found it. I will be using them again 100% services and have recommended them already. An extremeley happy customer. Thank you again for helping me create my forever home in a stress free environment.

Exceptional builder, truly puts the client first! As a first-time buyer taking on a full house renovation, finding a trustworthy builder was essential. Alex from Kent Specialist Groundworks & Construction Ltd exceeded every expectation. He transformed every room in our home, from structural work (knocking down and rebuilding walls), replastering, and new woodwork/doors, to full kitchen and downstairs bathroom installations, pipe chasing, and fitting LVT and carpets. Alex’s communication is second to none: he provided daily plans, was always reachable, listened to every detail, and made sure any concerns were sorted without hesitation. His pricing was fair and honest from start to finish. Kent specialist groundwork’s have recently laid a patio in my garden . From the moment I met Alex, he listened to my needs of what I wanted, and couldn’t have been any nicer . The guys that laid the patio were very polite and hard working . They was very respectful of my property and did an amazing job . We recently had external wall insulation and rendering work carried out by Kent Specialist Groundworks & Construction Ltd and are very pleased with the finished result. Alex and his team worked hard throughout the project and kept us informed at every stage. The workmanship is of a high standard, the property has been left clean and tidy, and any issues or questions were dealt with promptly and professionally. The team also completed additional items such as fitting the downpipe, cleaning the driveway and making sure everything was finished properly before handover. These guys did a drive extension for me. It took much longer than expected due to some planning mistakes and other difficulties, but they stuck with it and were very pleasant. The end result is a very nice granite block drive extension.

Great service great workmanship. Alex and his team did some paving for me a little more than 6 months now. I was thoroughly impressed by their workmanship and professionalism. I definitely recommend anyone out there who needs work done on their property. Alex goes all in to deliver for and won’t rest until it is done. He is flexible too.

Client: Oli & Lucy, Oxted, Surrey Project: Full roof replacement and enhancement, first floor extension and internal remodelling to create master bedroom, walk-in wardrobe and en-suite bathroom Date: June-Oct 2025 We engaged Alex at KG Groundworks & Construction to replace (and enhance) our roof and carry out a first-floor extension to create a completely new internal layout, including a master bedroom, dressing room and ensuite bathroom. From start to finish, the build went very well and the project timeline kept broadly on track, despite the inevitable challenges that come with a job of this scale such as installing a large steel structure around a protected Oak tree and unexpected summer storms! A particular strength was Alex’s input during the feasibility stage. He took the time to break the project down into the various workstreams, producing clear and detailed quotes alongside a well-structured timing and payment schedule. This level of transparency helped us get comfortable with the project early on, establish a fair market value, and provided a strong platform to work from. It also meant that any changes to scope or works could be discussed and tackled constructively as they arose, ensuring we maintained a positive working relationship. During the build, Alex was excellent at managing the project, effectively acting as a dedicated project manager by coordinating the right trades at the right time and ensuring progress remained efficient. His approach differs from that of smaller builders who are on site and on the tools every day, but for a project involving multiple trades, materials, and parallel workstreams, this level of oversight proved essential. Alex was highly proactive in his communication, providing regular (often daily) updates on completed works, outlining what to expect in the week ahead, and actively seeking our input when decisions were needed. He was also on site for key inspections and always made himself available to meet with us, which gave us real confidence that the project was being closely managed at all times. We’re delighted with the end result and would happily recommend Alex and KG Groundworks & Construction.

Fabulous 👌 company Highly recommended. Brilliant work! Put up 10 plus fence panels, concrete posts and gravel boards. Also block paved a driveway for us on what was our grass front garden. Still looking Fabulous 👌
